*Update* Cocker that was in need of temporary foster
« on: July 18, 2007, 09:07:15 PM »
This has been posted on one of my other forums and I have permission to cross-post:

"I've been contacted by a lady who's family have been made homeless. They are looking for someone to foster their cocker for a minimum of a month, maximum of 3 months.

At the moment the dog is living in a car in Cardiff, with the female owner sleeping with it overnight Shocked Someone has informed the police and they have told her if she doesn't move the dog they will take it into the pound and rehome it.

I don't have too many details on the dog at the moment other than she is good with dogs and kids (lives with kids at the moment). She ideally would like the dog to stay in the S. Wales area but is realistic that this may not be an option."

Please let me know if you can offer any help.

Mods - hope this is in the right place but please move if not.  :-*

Is it possible to get more details --- bitch or dog, neutered or unneutered vaxed or not --- then people may now whether they would be able to help or not.

I can then ask around as I'm also in Cardiff

Just got your PM as server guy was playing up earlier. Am asking around for now as am sure we can find somewhere localish (its possible I could help out for a while as well as long as his honour didn't mind but my only concern are the kittens) --- How did you get to know about this and do you know if it would it be possible to pop along and see her tomorrow (will be in area you mentioned anyway well one part of it).

What an awful situation to be in, hope this works out for the lady as she clearly doesn't want to be seperated from it.

Just a thought but some councils have homelessness prevention teams that arrange kenelling and help with the financial cost too.  Could she maybe ask her local homeless section of the council if it is something they do?

So the police are concerned about the dog sleeping overnight in the car, but not about the owner?!!

Sadly authorities don't do pets and will always ask rescues to help out anyway

Have left message on woman's mobile with my contact details

Have now been speaking to friend of this family and hopefully trying to arrange for this girl to come here as long as his nibbs doesn't go into a grump and the kittens don't mind sharing
