Poor old Zorro, he really does live up to his namesake sometimes (in terms of being a bit hapless and usually outwitted by a lady
).
I was at home yesterday afternoon (having done a stint of TTouch with some feral kittens in the morning, but that's a whole other story!). I'd popped upstairs and whilst up there I heard what sounded like Zorro jumping off the back of the sofa, so I took no notice.
When I went down, I was a tad surprised to find Zorro standing in the middle of the dining table (chairs all tucked in as usual so he must've jumped in one fell swoop). He had a mix of remorse and "help!" on his lovely little mush so once I'd got over my surprise, I lifted him down.
Bella meanwhile had been doing her butter wouldn't melt act and throwing me "look at my twitty brother" looks.
Anyway, Zorro immediately made haste for Bella's crate and the way he was crammed into one corner I knew something was up. I got him out of there and found an empty packet of cat treats (which had been almost full as I'd not used many at the cat rescue place).
Clearly when he'd jumped up, he'd knocked the treats on the floor, and had to stand helplessly looking on whilst Bella scoffed the lot
Bella's face when the wrapper was discovered was a picture, kind of "that's another fine mess you've got us into"...
