I was walking both dogs this morning, when i noticed some food stuff on the floor so i was trying to steer Hattie around it, when i had got past it i looked down at Darcy to find him walking with a condom hanging out of his mouth,  :020: it totally grossed me out, luckily he is quite good at dropping when he is told, because there was no way i was going to take it a way from him.  Once i got him home he had his face washed, bless him he just sat there with a very surprised look on his face.

That is disgusting.  I hope that Darcey has now a very clean face and that she drank some water to clear her mouth.  Some people  >:D  At least you didn't have to touch it.  Yukkkk! ;)

No i did not have to touch it but Darcy is one of those dogs that loves to lick any bare skin, so last night i spent with a cardie on to cover my arms, but that did not stop him trying to have a lick. ;)

Lucky for you he drops when told,because if Ruby had thought that was food or something she wanted,i would not have got it off of her.Though i think i would have tried desperately if i thought she was going to swallow it  :020: :020:

What is it about our cockers that they just love to find and roll in undesirable things, as if finding the best of treasures???  We've had the condom finding too...................but I wasn't quite so fortunate.  I shouted to leave it, and Ollie came running to me, with it.  Gross........................ :020: :020:  Can't tell you how many times I scrubbed my hands (and his mouth out) when I got home.

I had to come back to this because it reminded me of my cousin the other day....

Yes, a nasty experience.

Near my last home there was a lane much frequented by those with the disgusting habit of discarding used condoms from their cars. Holly seemed to search out the jettisoned articles and once got one stuck in her gut which the Vet had to remove! I stopped walking there. A neighbour of mine (he was a little eccentric and also indifferent to others reactions) used to knock on the car windows and tell folk to clear off!

Absolutely horrible, a totally thoughtless idiot somewhere. I can't imagine the terrible problems it could cause if any poor animal ingests one and it lodges in the gut.  :'(

Well done Darcey, what a very good boy to drop it. I'm so glad he's ok. Things like this are a gentle reminder that must practice Maisie's 'drop it' more.
