Well done :clapping:

I started a thread on Rosie and Spice when I was watching them on the Crufts livestream and mentioned Wicked William, but I didn't know your COL name or that he was Rio at the time.

My orange roan boy is Sweet William and I used to do agility with him, only UKA Beginners and KC Grade 1, but just as we started to do well he developed a back problem and we had to retire :'(. Luckily he's fine now, but I can't risk him at agility again.

excellent, and you seem to do it with so much ease  and calm - i still run around the course shouting like an idiot  :005: :005:

He is a good boy! He tries so hard to please me and I completely adore him!

He is very cheeky though!

What is the back problem? Rio had luxating patella as a pup but keeping him slim and his muscle toned has meant that all the symptoms have gone away, my vet told me surgery was the only option!

What a fab round and lovely to see him so obviously enjoying every min. It must be so nerve wrecking doing that at Crufts. I was nervous enough showing my boy and all I had to do was trot him in a triangle.  :shades: :005:

i watched a lot of agility on Crufts and thought the speed of the dogs was amazing. I've oftern thought about it but I'm sure there is no way me and Ollie could ever be that quick!!!

It looks as if Rio knows the course off by heart but it must be such a good bond you have to understand each other!!

L&O x

That was fab - wish we'd seen a bit more of that type of action and a lot less of the presenters on the More4 coverage. Rio is lovely :luv:

William has disc damage. He started having back pain when doing agility and eventually had an MRI scan. He leads a perfectly normal life and runs about like a lunatic in the New Forest, jumping ditches and logs, but I feel I can't risk him at agility again. The specialist vet said that hopefully it won't get any worse but agreed that doing agility, jumping in and out of the car and going up and down stairs a lot could potentially cause more damage. I hold my breath and cross my fingers when he jumps things out on walks but otherwise he'd end up on lead all the time and he'd hate that.

He seems to be pain free but he's certainly sensitive in the damaged area because he flinches when I brush him there if I forget to be extra gentle and he doesn't like other dogs getting near his back.

Good dog Rio :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: I love watching agility and its great seeing a cocker doing it.

I'm going to try agility with Ginny when she is old enough. The puppy class I go to does it, although not competetively just for fun and that suits me..dont know if I'd like the pressure of competing.  ::)
