Title: sable and white cockers

Hello everyone, just wondered if anybody here can help, I think I have bred a sable and white puppy but never having seen this colour before, I can't be sure. Does anyone know where I might find pics?. :luv:

You could try google images, put in sable and white cocker spaniel and a few pics pop up think they are American cockers maybe!

Sable doesn't appear from nowhere so if you don't have it in the pedigree of sire or dam, it's unlikely to be sable. When you mix solids and partis, you can get strangely marked dogs so perhaps this is the case with the pup in question or sometimes what can look like sable markings disappear with age.

If you do a Google search, you can also probably find websites for breeders who have sables - perhaps you could contact one of these and ask for their opinion.

Dad is from Pam Walkers Sables, there is a sable in the litter too , and mum carries sable in her line.I have tried googling only get yankees. Have to keep searching, thanks for your help.

With that information, I think you have your answer but I'm sure American Cocker breeders will be able to help you further if that's all you can find.

I have Monty, an 11 month old sable boy.  Send me your email, and I can forward some pics. from when he was a pup.  He has white  on his chest.
