Wecome page picture
« on: September 24, 2006, 08:21:53 AM »
Just wondered why .......
On the welcome page the photo under 'user info' is my old avatar (pups at 4 mths old), but on every other page/post it is my new one (pups at 7mths).
Not that it's a problem as I like seeing them that size.  :D But I just wondered why it happens?

It could be pulling it from your cache. Have you done a forced refresh - ctr and f5? That should clear it. If not - then I have no idea!

Quote from Wikipedia:

"Web caching is the caching of web documents (e.g., HTML pages, images) in order to reduce bandwidth usage, server load, and perceived "lag". A web cache stores copies of documents passing through it; subsequent requests may be satisfied from the cache if certain conditions are met."

Hope this helps!  ;)
