I have just got our marks through for our advanced dog training practical for college and the Baylster has powered his way to another great score. :shades:
9 different tests including retrieves, out of sight stays, tricks, hwtm, recalls, clearing up toys, oh and getting me a beer from the fridge. :005:
To be quite honest I thought by his standard he was a bit ropey on the day (due to my nerves) but still came through and got me a real good first.

One of the most important scores for me was his perfect ten for attitude, as the instructor commented "How he loves to work, he really enjoys himself."
I cannot ask for any more. :angel:
Soooo proud of him it's untrue :luv:

How soon will it be before I going to be able to recommend the dog training and behaviour book written by Mark Sanderson?  ;)

That last picture is wonderful  :luv:  I think you two are my second favourite double act (Bert & Ernie will always be first I'm afraid  :005: :005:) - so whats next on the agenda now that you no longer have to get up to get your own drinks??

It may be a while Rachel, given my scores for two written essays I got back at the same time. :005:
They were rushed due to lack of hours in the day and the scores reflect it. >:(
Never mind maybe one day, but I have still got lots to learn myself from other trainers books yet. ;)

Dunno, I am at a bit of a loose end with my own dogs at the moment.
I always seem to be working with other peoples.
I am just teaching Bayley to cross his paws at the moment, been working on his stop whistle, started doing some directionals with him and started to try and generalize some of the behaviours he already does well at home.
I am thinking of agility with him next and I might take him to a HWTM workshop next week to let the experts show us how it's done. ;)
I was going to enter him for Top Dog on the telly but I needed a break after a hectic few months.
COL does have it's own Top dog competitor anyway as Vera (Lurcher Girl) has entered with one of her dogs.
I'll be rooting for her and thinking what could have been. ;)
Maybe next year. :lol:
