Windows Vista File Sharing - Help Needed!

Hi

Pls can some one talk me thru file sharing?

I have both a pc and laptop with vista.  My laptop can detected both the laptop and the pc but my pc can only detect the pc and not the laptop.  I have tried to enter my user name which is leisl for both pc and laptop and my password which again is the same for both machines but the moment I enter the pswd it removes it from the box and asks for the password again.  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.
