Change in chewing behaviour after neutering
« on: December 11, 2008, 03:09:09 PM »
Hello - I have had my rescue 3 yr old spaniel spayed as one of his testicles hadn't dropped properly so was advised by the vet to have him spayed and remove testicle at same time.  All went well and two weeks later he's back to normal apart from he doesn't seem to have any interest in his toys anymore??  Prior to the op he'd happily spend hours chewing his toys, loo rolls etc (never anything of mine though bless him just his toys) and since the op he's lost all interest in them -  he'll give them a little sniff and then ignore them.

He still loves his kong full of his dinner and playing tug of war with me but no interest in anything else.  I used to give him an empty loo roll and it would keep him amused for about an hour.  I gave him one earlier and he had no interest - does anyone know why this would be??
