Oh Harves, I can't really believe that it was 2 years ago today that you left us - I can remember it so vividly, even down to the snoring sounds you made as I cuddled you at the end. You were so ready to go and we all know that it was the right thing to do to put you out of your pain and distress, but I do miss your calm gentlemanly ways more than you will ever know. You brought so much joy into our lives and without you in the house the whole family was missing it's heartbeat. My arms have ached today, wishing you were still here to cuddle and the tears are silently falling as I type this. I love you and still miss the characteristic sound of you 'throwing' yourself down on the floor in one of your many regular sleeping areas - and sometimes, just sometimes in the early morning, before I am properly awake, I can hear you scuffing your way over to the bed from your basket - oh how I wish you were still with us.
