Last week I finally had to let go of Ali
She came to us 2and a half years ago when my son found her abandoned at the side of our road. She was terrified, elderly, flea-ridden and covered in tumours. Withe the help of the Ni boxer rescue we took her in and she quickly became part of our family.
When my darling boy Barney took his final seizure at home Ali wouldn't move from his side until he was taken to the vets
When Finn the newfie pup arrived Ali had a new lease of life and took on the role of mother-even when Finn was double her size
Ali you were a real character. You were funny, loving and unbelievably stubborn. I am so glad we found you and had the privilege of being your family-if only for a short time
