when you brought your pup home!

What did you do as son as you got home with your pup other than doing there buisness in the garden.
like did you let them wonder round the house and meet the family or did send them straight to there crate in a quite room to settle. just i want to do it right.

We took Maisy straight out into the garden, she did her buisness and explored for a while then it was off to explore the house, later when she was more settled she was introduced to her crate, we didn't shut it though.

We let phoebe and mia  explore their new surroundings inside and out, watching all the time for the tell tale signs of wanting to relieve themselves    x x x

I let Betsy do her stuff on a puppy training pad and then left her to her own to discover my spacious one bedroom apartment!

After he'd been in the garden, I just let Charlie explore his new surroundings.

Both went out into the garden and then we stayed in the kitchen/conservatory while I made them and me something to eat (tiled floors so easy cleanup).
Then we retired to the living room after food and toilet for a snooze, and where I just stared at them in awe as they slept    Was very lucky as neither Misha or Roly ever peed on the carpet or sofa as puppies.

Freya went straight out into the garden and played for a bit then we went indoors and she explored for a bit before just dropping on the spot, fast asleep

Yep, Meg went straight into the garden did her business and then went into the house to explore.... i was only 8 at the time and i remember following her and thinking 'wow i finally have a dog!' . I cant really remember what happened after that.
Pretty much the same with Alfie, although he went straight into the garden to meet Meg! Then into the house for an explore then he went to sleep in his crate off his own accord, ahhh bless him

We brought Dougie home, put him straight into the garden, then brought him into the house and sat him down - he started ankle gnashing and has never stopped since!

Seriously, we let him have a wander around and a little game, then showed him his crate, gave him his dinner in it, took him back outside, then he slept all night.

We brought Luis home, and took him straight into the garden.  He explored out there, did wees, destroyed a few plants then came indoors.

He enjoyed looking around, and playing at dragging his toys from his bed, taking them a few yards away, then dragging them back.  This seemed to go on for ages.
