Another blue roan here.Sam has recently really found his voice.he also has a full range of whines cries etc :005: he has had a good tutor in Leo the in-laws black lab who is always noisy

I think it's more in the breeding lines. Our previous two were blue roan and  my present two are blue roan. Three have been very quiet but Bramble  >:D......is very, very vocal. It's usually means of communicating what she wants or telling tales on Maddie  ;)
I like the chatting she does as long as it doesn't become barking.
At agility she barks all the way round, she is a very driven dog.
For those of you old enough to remember 'The  wooden tops' we liken her to spotty dog!  :D
The breeder also kept one of the litter and says she's never had such a vocal dog.
