no rescue name on yet ::)
but these boys need very special homes - they will be excluded from insurance so need homes that are willing to take on any treatment they made need as they get older
2 x 10wk and 1 x 8wk solid black babies ::) :luv: :luv: :luv:

oh no!!!! i want one.they are the cutest little babies.sadly i don't think my two are considerate enough.
-
They are just the sweetest little munchkins :luv: Hope they get new homes soon
-
Awwww! Bless their little Cocker paws :luv: I really hope they find lovely homes soon!
-
Any further idea on what is wrong with them??
Am unbelieveably tempted, just not sure pup could cope with playful but gentle 14 month old Dillon??
eta just read rest of dp thread and answered my own question ::)
oh loves them but worried about the insurance issue... :'(
-
What cute little men. Would love to take one on but not sure we would be considered. No kids and someone home all day but we don't have an unlimited budget and we have 5 cockers already do you think it would be too much for a pup with extra special needs or just what the dr ordered?
-
Best person to ask would be the foster mum :D
As the days go on she will have more of an idea how they are coping as well - she has her own dogs there too as well as the foster pups.
I would imagine they will be checked again by the vet soon too.
-
bless them :luv: :luv:
-
Oh my... they are gorgeous. I really want one of them... I don't have a problem with them not being covered by insurance but after having said to so many others on here that getting a pup when your existing dog is young isn't a good idea I'd feel like such a hypocrite to go and do it myself because Alfie's only 7 months... :'( :-\ :'(

Hi everyone Im new to this site but am the very lucky lady fostering these adorable pups :luv: :luv: To update a little - the pups will have no problems being insured except for their back legs >:( My vet reckons that it is just poor nutririon - you can see their spines "dip" at the back. Two older 10 week ones are getting around with no problems - improving daily - playing with the 4 older/large dogs the same as any other pup. My shoelaces have been undone for most of the morning and my GSD has had at least one pup hanging from his bushy tail most of the day They play lovely then all pop back into their cage for a snooze - being really good at not pooing in the cage and waiting till they get out. I am sure that these will end up lovely dogs - but trying to emphasize that although the long term prognosis looks quite bright as we all know with pupies yiou just cannot tell. Any further info you might need please feel free to contact me at any time. We are just trying to sort out names for them as Im about to microchiip them and dont want to get them confused :005:

Hi and Welcome to COL :D
Well done you for fostering those lovely little pups :luv: :luv: :luv: if my two were older I would have one like a shot ..... hope they find their new forever homes soon they deserve it....
-
Bless you for looking after these little munchkins. I have mentioned them to my OH and my sister several times today but I dont think I can convince them. One of my cockers is a deaf rescue which is hard work yet enormously rewarding at the same time. I soooo want another and would only ever rescue but we work full time (term time only and I come home at lunch times) and I dont think we would have enough time for one of these special babies. :'( (or would we ??? )
-
Hi Missdoggylin, welcome to COL.
As the others have said well done for being a foster mum to such lovely pups. I am sure they will all get excellent homes and that in itself makes their futures look bright.
I hope whoever takes them on joins this forum as I am very very interested in knowing what happens in their lives and how the new owners get on.
-
Well first little poppet is off to his new home tomorrow and they have chosen the name Chewitt for him which I quite like but hope he doesnt live up to his name :005: :005:
-
That is brilliant news :D
don't forget to give the new familys this site addy ;)
-
Great news. :D
-
Hurray :D :D :D :luv:
-
Let's hope the others get new homes soon. :luv:
If not my 14 year old son has offered to quit school so that we meet the criteria of someone being at home all day with them!
-
Pups are doing really well - all new owners will have to log on to this site and post pictures ;) will make it part of the adoption form :005: Our local hydrotherapy pool has offered to swim these pups for £6 a session for as long as needed - many thanks to them (it does help that I rehomed a Sheltie to Mandy there 2 weeks ago :005:)
Will have to start a new thread but we have another cocker who is in need of an understandiing home Emma is 5 an ex breeding bitch but lfor a change she is able to walk on a lead and after three weeks the fosterer (in Ealing) is 90% housetrained - still extreemely nervous but loves her foster home and is comming around great - she is being spayed today and having her first vacs but will then be ready to move onto her forever home :luv:
Many thanks for all the replies and offers of help we have received from this site - will certainly be popping on frequently in future.

What georgous pups I am so glad they are getting new homes sorted out - they deserve the best.
Have to say my blood boiled when I read that the disability may be caused by poor nutritien, obviously I don't know all the facts and appreciate there may be a medical reason for this - but if it is down to poor diet and nutritien for the mum then words fail me........
Perhaps all the people who post on here when they decide to 'breed' from their cockers on a whim should be made to read this, am I being to hard???
Anyway enough of a rant - main thing is the lovely boys look like they are going to get good homes and can't wait to see more pics and read about them as they get bigger :luv:

-
Mean people don't they know how desperate we are >:( Please who are you. Please don't make me beg it's not big and it's not clever :005:
-
Me too!
Petra, is it you?????
No, sadly not, I did not ask, as on DP the foster mum said she did not want the pups to go to a home with small children :'( so I don't think I would even have been considered....
Have all the pups gone now??
I am sooooo desperate for another ickle pup, but Dill is only 14 months, will wait at least another year I think...
Own up whoever has one of these little stars - we want progress reports and piccies on a daily basis!!!!!

-
Wonderful news - are you having one of the 10 week ones, or the 8 week one???
I am soooooo jealous, but happy the pup is going to such a good home!
Name, details, piccies soon please!!!
-
Awww thanks for that.....Sorry a bit late in replying I had to go out and just got back in.....
We are picking pup :luv: up on Tuesday as this weekend was a bit awkward for us as we are looking after someone's dog for them till Monday.
I don't know yet whether it will be the 8 week old or the 10 week old as someone else is picking up a pup before us so Like Georgie I don't get to choose, just going to let fate make the choice  I'm not bothered....
We had to think up a name so it could go on his paperwork ... how difficult is that ... all these girlie names kept coming in my brain but not boys anyway we quite liked Oscar or Dagen (which is gaelic for dark haired) and a bit unusual the more we said Dagen the more it grew on us and we now like it. … so Dagen it is for the mo but it may change when we get him home :luv: ...
What do you guys think of Dagen? :-\
-
How is it pronounced, with a hard 'g' to rhyme with 'pagan', or a soft 'g' as in 'rage'?
-
Now you've confused me ... not sure how it's meant to sound ... I'm saying it like pagan with a hard G
-

Well it's your dog's name - you should decide how to pronounce it :005: ;). I love it :D . It's different as you say.
-
We all want to share this little ones life. so a weekly report will be most necessary. good on you
-
Ooooh, ickle Dagan :luv: (I would pronounce it like pagan), how cute :luv:
I soooo wanted one of these little babes :luv: :luv:
Piccies are mandatory, at least one a day, so I can have my virtual puppy fix....
-
Good for you Lyn
Bet you cant wait til Tuesday :005:
Waiting for the raft of piccies
-
OK, I am happy that we know about Lyn and one of the puppies, but who is having Emma, the ex-breeding bitch?
