This is Bella who arrived from the pound. She is a 14yr old cocker spaniel. She is microchipped and her owners were informed of her whereabouts. They had her for 14yrs but didn't come to collect her. Bella is in very poor condition.She is emaciated, in need of a dental and has mammary tumours. We are hoping after treatment that Bella will find her forever home for however long she has left. Despite all of this Bella remains a happy lively girl. She has a good appetite. She loves people and other dogs.

* Beautiful Bella Update*... She has been to see Alison the vet for her check up. As you can see she is extremely underweight weighing in at only 6.5kg. She will need some building up before she undergoes an anaesthetic for a much needed dental scale and to also remove some of the small mammary tumours she has. They will be sent to the labs for analysis. A full chest x-ray as well whilst sedated will also be done. She is a very lively sprightly girl for her age bless her and stole everybody's hearts. She has been out with Deb on her walks today and thoroughly enjoyed herself. Will keep her updated as we go along...

Shame on her previous owners. Whatever their circumstances might be they shouldn't have let her become so ill and then discard her like a piece of rubbish

Heartbreaking - what a lovely girl  . I had a moment of 'I could take her' then had reality check and thought she'd probably need a slightly less manic home than this one  . Have such a soft spot for the oldies  . So hope she finds a home soon.

Actually glad that this little girl has found her way to a rescue, at least she'll get the care and treatment she deserves. Hope she recovers well and finds a loving forever home quickly.

If there was any way to prosecute the scum who let her get into that state in the first place then I hope it happens. Makes my blood absolutely boil to see that poor little mite. How could ANYBODY with an ounce of compassion or humanity do that to her?
