Megan is around 9 months old, micro chipped and vaccinated, sadly she had to have her back left leg amputated due to it becoming infected after she had been chained up by her leg in her owners back yard.

She is a very quiet docile dog who loves to follow you around and will quite happily sit on your lap.  She is very good in the car, good with other dogs and also good with children.

She rarely if ever barks, is happy to be 'poked and prodded' at the vets! she does certainly have an excellent temperament!

She just craves love and attention, and will make an excellent companion pet. She has readily adapted to losing a leg and is coping extremely well on just 3 legs. She does not ask to go out, but will always perform when taken out, so accidents in the home are infrequent.

Please call Linda on 07799 066679 to discuss if you think you might be able to help.  Thank you!!

Chained up by her back leg  :o >:D >:D what possesses someone to do that. I am surprised, that she still wants to be with humans . Poor little mite, I am sure that it will not be long before she is in her deserved forever home, she really is a beautiful girl  :luv: :luv:

I can only hope that the RSPCA have prosecuted the owner of this sadistic act.
She's a lovely little bitch almost identical to my Silkie.
In this case the old testament eye for an eye would definitely be appropriate.

I hope so too  >:D  Quite unbelievable  >:(  I can only assume that, as she is now up for rehoming, that if there was to be a prosecution, it has already taken place.  As far as I understand it, animals that have been the subject of animal cruelty are not rehomed while there are legal cases outstanding :dunno:

Poor Megan, hope she finds a wonderful new home very soon.

As for her previous owner, I would like to chain him up by his leg and leave him to rot.

At least Megan is safe now.

I'm sickened by this - to chain her up by the leg is appalling to but to allow it to become so infected the leg has to be amputated is unbelievable.  That and the fact the poor mite rarely barks - I can only imagine she's had an anti-bark collar on.  Both acts of cruelty that will have caused untold damage to is little girls bones and mind  >:D

I've spent all afternoon thinking about Megan.  She's still only a baby and growing.  I just hope her next home more than makes up for what is one of the worst starts to a dogs life I've heard of in a very long time.

Off to give Pearl a very big hug
