Thank you Freya.  I really wished it had worked out differently but I could envisage the difficulties.

I will keep revisiting this thread because I really hope this little girl find a suitable forever home.

I had decided a while ago that I wanted another.  I don't have any special wish list (well I apart from I would like a cocker but not fussed about what type or colour) and I am not sure that I want a puppy so I will bide my time.

sorry to hear this, but sometimes these things happen for the best, and as others have said, the rescue people have  best interests at heart, so I'm here's  hoping little Jess will find her forever home  - I will also keep watching this thread....

best wishes Rhona

Ah Rhona I'm sorry (this makes more sense now)  A hard decision but for the right reasons I'm sure.  I'm sure she find a fantastic home and that you and your family, and of course Sam, will find the perfect companion to welcome in to your home too  :luv:

Aw sorry it didn't work out, but better to find out now than after you have brought her home

she has been a family pet so doubt there is any training, but this is the SSPCA we are talking about, they don't rehome to people working full time so the decision would be made for you Nic.

Really? Even with dog walkers etc. already in place as I have? Probably just as well though cos I really shouldn't even think about another rescue just now  ::)

Go Rhona though!  :D

Sorry to hijak the thread but I'm with you on this Nicola. If they refuse a good owner just on the grounds that they work full time , even if arangements are in place, then it's ridiclious  ::)

Hope she finds her home soon  :D

Have passed on details of this wee dog to a friend - she is looking after my Twix at the moment since I am working away - and has become smitten by her cocker charms!!!

Hopefully this post will bring her to someone's attention!

Sorry to hear things didn't work out for all of you but I'm sure it won't be long before she finds a loving permanent home. I must admit I'm very tempted as it would be lovely for Jet to have a friend at home and it's great to have more than 1 dog - especially on walks!  but we are in Staffordshire. I'm sure you will find the perfect friend for Sam. Things always happen for a reason. Good luck to you all!!
