I have discovered my secret weapon!!!
A bull's pizzle.
Luca is in his crate with the door shut and has been quiet for 15 minutes while I've had a shower and got dressed!!! This is a record.
I had to go and check on him because I thought something was wrong!!! :005:
Frozen kong has not come close to this amount of silence. Amazing.
Is this ok? Can I do this????

I had to google what a bull's pizzle was (although I had an inkling!).
I don't see why not. They're made for dog's to chew.
Glad you've found something that works!

Yup, if all else fails bull puzzle to the rescue with Archie too!
-
Phew! Although 15 minutes was his limit, but that's still amazing!!
Thanks.

IMO they're the best longlasting chew and relatively healthy. Mine both love them.

Madoc has one & it's by far his favourite chew. I mentioned them to my husband a while back Typical man! He winced & said " we're not having those!". I bought some anyway, hid the packet & just told him they were dried beef chews. Everyone's happy! Good job oh doesn't read this forum!

I am going to get a couple of these in. I bought a stag bar today from PAH but i will get the pizzles as a back up incase he does not like the stag bar
-
Brodie loves them. Which is great as she is terribly fussy, plus other chews such as pigs ears make her hysterical :shades:. Pizzle sticks seem to be tasty and yet not high value enough to stress her.

Same here - Coco loves them and they are less fatty than some other chews eg pig's ears :D Bit smelly though but not as bad as tripe sticks and last far longer ;)
-
I'm tempted to try them with Lucy, she's never had one but she loves her chews
-
Just wondering if anyone has a cheapish source for them?
-
I use Zooplus or this seller on eBay http://stores.ebay.co.uk/perrorojos i get my buffalo ears and tripe from her and when it is in stock the salmon oil she is reasonable and combines postage and delivery is fast :005:

Either Netpetshop.co.uk or Viovet - whichever has them cheapest. Usually pay about £25 for a kilo which lasts a long time.
