Hi Baileys pedigree name is Barrondon Golden Nugget, thought you might want that instead of his regular name.

Paul,

I have loaded up the new file and got very excited to see that Bailey had some common ancestors with Tilly (I asume Bailey is Bailey Bailey?) for example, Sh Ch Lujesa Happy Too (Luke!)  is the great great grandad of both of them!  All three share an ancestor in Luke's dad - Sh Ch Canigou Mr Happy, where Bailey and Tilly are 6th generation and Kyro is seventh.  Sorry to be such an anorak, but I find this fascinating   .  We met Luke when we picked up Tilly and he has been doing well in veteran classes, so although great great grandad sounds a long way back, it's not really in dog terms, is it?  He is a lovely boy  :) .

I think I must have mucked up my merge in some way though, because although it searched for duplicates and told me it had none, there are many.  I will try loading it up again as a new file.

Will this fall over if (when?) more dogs are added?

I think 'keep starting a new file each time' will be the best way, 'cus as you say merging causes probs. It does with the full version of the program

Ah, Tilly is a bit older than Bailey - she's just 2 (26 months).  She has the sweetest nature of any dog I have ever been owned by    - but she is a bit of a princess   .
We got her from Lujesa, in Essex (she is our own little Essex Girl  :) ) .  Tilly is Lujesa Jodeci in the charts (named after a soul band  B) )

Someone said on the Forum once that, if you went far enough back, all the COL cockers would probably be related - I think Paul's charts are starting to prove that, at least amongst solids and separately amongst partis.

:P Was just looking at Tillys pic and Bailey sits exactly the same as her. Does Kyro and Tilly both lay with their back legs stretched out?

With regards to temperament Bailey is a sweet little boy, however he is a very nervous dog, dont know why? i often wondered if we socialised him enough as a puppy. He barks like mad at anyone who comes and then once they are in the house he hides upstairs for the duration of their stay.  There is one person who he really doesn't like!!! and thats the posty, when the posty comes he is usually stood behind the gates and when he sees him come down our path he runs inside and goes beserk!!!! he jumps up at the letterbox and rips the mail from it them he kills the letters!!!!    He doesn't chew them he just shakes them and stamps on them :P  :D . I know i shouldn't encourage it but he looks so funny when he does it. Dont know if thats something to do with territory? :)

Yeah, Kyro does the legs out behind him thing. Infact on a walk the other evening he'd obviously had enough, stopped, lay down, and stretched the legs full out behind him.

If you've seen any piccys of 'Canigou Cambrai' sitting with front legs together and skirt splayed out either side, well, Kyro has taken to sitting just like that.   The other day I thought we had a Show Champion in our house :D but then I realised it was just a nutty young cocker

There are already 194 dogs linking just Bailey, Kyro and Tilly. This pedigree lark could end up HUGE

:D Yes i know but its really interesting isnt it? Was Kyros parents black? Baileys parents were both black, bailey is very much like his mum, she only had a small face too, but he takes after his father for his stockyness.
