I would do a bit of research and ask yourself what are you really looking for. The traditional show type cocker with the long coat and ears and the sad eyes or a working cocker who has a shorter coat and is more interested in challenging exercise and has good gundog instincts in them. Temperment wise they are both friendly happy dogs.
