Trembling hind legs
« on: August 31, 2014, 07:48:08 PM »
Dante(from Rescue Cockers) has been in his new home for a few days now.  His hind legs tremble.  Seems to be when he's anxious or excited.  He'll be having a full check up with the vet v soon. Meanwhile,  has anyone got any experience of this?

Yes Bens legs do this  :005:  It has got worse as he has got older (he is 11 now)
If he is excited or waiting for something like his tea - he stands there quivering, he does the same in the car when we get near a walk.
I mentioned it to my vet a year or so ago but she said it was nothing to worry about.   :luv:

Louis does it sometimes too and he's only 5. It tends to be when I'm preparing his food or when he's anxious about something. I expect it's the same with Dante, and nothing to worry about, but best to mention it to the vet when you go.

My cocker bitch, Molly, used to have trembly hind legs when she got older.  I mentioned it to my vet and she said it was nothing to worry about, but was a sign of age.

Lottie has trembly legs too, sometimes even when she sleeps. The vet wasn't worried.

Thanks for the replies - very reassuring.  No known history about Dante but he has been given the age of approx 7.  He went to the big wood yesterday.  True spaniel - he wanted to get in the stream.  Once castration stitches out he can.
