hi i was thinking about affixs names a couple of days ago an was woundaring were u got ur names from ours is oramiss this is out of my name sarah an my bros simon  :) thanks mom for chosin this name frm my name an simons

Mine is Gillbrook. Its just my name which is Gill obviously ;)  and my first cockers name which was Brook.

Ours - Nicibec - mine and Becki's names :) , as we pushed our parents into showing :rolleyes:  :lol:  and not the other way around which usually happens :rolleyes: .

Mine's "Glowstar" The "G" being for Gillian (my name) the LOW part being for my maiden name (Lowe) and the STAR because I couldn't think of anything else to put on the end  :rolleyes:  :lol:

Mine is COBARN, I wanted a short name (and got my first choice from the kennel Club  :) )  CO is for cocker and  BARN is from the street I live in, the streets name is LØEÅKEREN, which in English would be BARN+FIELD,  must say that I am very happy with the name, since I think it is short and solid, just like I want my cockers to be  :D

Ours is 'Keladity' which is made up of our names Kelly and Adam! It was not our first choice though the six we submitted were all taken :D

My first choice was allready taken, so i ended up with "Coruscant". No particular reason for that name, except that I fancy Star Wars  :rolleyes:

Mine is Lapislumina, lapis as in the stone lapis lazuli which is one of my favourite crystals, me being into crystals and healing etc and it is also a lovely blue flecked colour, just like my first cocker Pepsi :) and lumina because it indicates light and illumination, so to me it is a very deep  :huh:  way of bringing pepsi's influence into my cockers names   :D

We got ours from the names of our first to show dogs Archie and Sonny.
Chaysonnie after weeks of trying to come up with names.

Mine is Jakieboy - which is my son's nickname.

My first choice tho was jesskabe - which is daughter nickname - as everything else was jakieboy lol.

Second choice was jessibe - another of my daughters nicknames - I ended up with third choice of Jakieboy

Mine is Royaldean I wanted Deanroyal as the Dean is a wood that we walk the dogs, and the Vale Royal is the pub near there :D but as there was a Donroyal :blink: we had to switch it round :D

Mine is Chimewood, which is made up from some of the lettters of my name Michele Lockwood.
It was my first choice, and I think it has a nice ring to it  :lol:

Mine is Derrindee which is taken from my name Derryn De Carteret.  Didn't impress the ex when I choose this but I thought too bad it's my hobby and my dogs at the end of the day and I'll have what I want !! AND I DID  ;)

our affix jayzander was my 3rd choice. I wanted one from my sons names (liam james & Mark alexander). I requested Liamar, Marlia and jayzander from their middle names. The irony behind this is that 1 & 2 were refused yet there is also a jayanda which is so close to ours that I can't work out why the KC chose this one!!!! :huh:

My affix is Pepperbox.  My first dog was a cavalier...pet name = Poppy.  I looked in a poppy seed catalogue and picked out words from the varieties listed to use as a catchy affix.  So my affix is in honour of Poppy.

An affix is what the Kennel Club use to distinguish between individual breeders. If I had a litter of puppies each one would be registered under my affix "Glowstar" then followed by a name. Buttons KC name is "Lynwater Buttons" with Lynwater being her breeder. I have since changed her registered name to "Lynwater Buttons At Glowstar" adding my affix on to the end. Breeders/showers add their affix onto the end of a dogs name they own so that fellow breeders/showers can distinguish who owns the dog.
not sure if that makes any sense  :lol:

mine is nothing :(  and if the greedy so and so would have nmade the effort,,maybe i could join you lot  :( but as it stands i can,t get anyone to name the most wonderful boy in the world,my jaasper,,who i would have loved to have named,jasper,any court jester,,oh well,,,another breeder :(

Ziggy, if you want to give Jasper a posh name ;) , you could register him on the KC Obedience and Working trial register and you get to choose your own name. I had to this in order for Vegas to be allowed to enter shows as NFC as he isn't KC registered.  So Vegas' sunday name is Mr Bojangles at Gillbrook B)
