We had a great day at Crufts - it was my first time ever there, unfortunately we did not get placed but Finley looked great, moved great and lapped up all the attention passers by were giving him, I could not have asked for any more from him - he was a star and did himself proud. especially Loved the shopping!!!!!!!!!. Got a taste for it now can not wait to return next year.
Well done to all COL's who got placed.
Wendy and a very tired Finley
-
Congratulations to all those who were successful. I had a fantastic day at Crufts. Unfortunatley I did not get to speak to any of you as there was no one there when I turned up! I did spot Nikki but she was busy talking to someone. All the dogs looked wonderful ans we talked to some very nice people. Can't wait for next year!!

Michele I was looking for you everywhere and asked lots of people and they hadn't seen you either. I was around the Dog ring for a time then the Bitch ring and then chatting to my friend Sue Rihoy (who's table the gache was on) and to my dispair you were no where to be found :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
Hi All
Well it was great catching up with Jane S on the Saturday and it was really lovely to see Tracey, Chelsea, Kim, Emily, Sandra, Sue & Hubbie and the gang that she was with (thanks for the cake and glass of wine ;) . To my delight I met Liz (Scully's Mum) on the flight over on Saturday morning so it was really nice to finally meet her especially with her only living a few miles away.
I had a fantastic time - met up with a friend who has Field Spaniels and got chatting to her and her friend who was very kind and gave us tickets to watch the Group on Saturday night and to get in on Sunday.
Met Marvin's Dad's breeder Mr Fred Hawkins "Grovern" and took some pictures of Grovern Yokel "Yogi". Lovely dog and reminds me so much of Marvin. Hopefully he will see Marvin in the summer.
Looking forward to coming over for Bath Champ Show now.
Take care all
Dessie xx

-
We had an amazing day too. You probably noticed I was late into my breed class with Gracie cuz I was running from the ykc stakes finals where we got 2nd!! we were 4th in the breed so chuffed there too. the biggest shock was ykc senior handling which I won!! well done to everyone who had a good day im sure even if you werent placed you spent loads of money on the trade stands! how did becky do in ykc? xx
-
WELDONE EVERY 1 !!!!!!
we had a really good day out - Harvey was placed 3rd in his post grad class, dixie sadly not placed in his puppy class. Bridget was short listed in a really strong puppy bitch class which she is pleased about :D The handler is also pretty chufft  :D
A BIG congratulations to Frances in the all the ykc events y.day. Me & a very tired harvey didn’t enter the ykc ring for the show handling until 5:00 ::) we were cut from a huge class and over all placed 4th i was so pleased with harvey :luv: - The poor babe had had a long day & he went beautifully for me :D. Also a huge BIG hug to my big sis she went in her handling on friday a was cut out from a huge class of 28 down to the last 7 !!! she has been such a big help to me in Junior handling ever since i started and shes the reason i was in that ring y.day cheers nik!!!!!!!!!
sadly i didn’t get chance to talk to alot of COL' ers as we were a bit busy with the breed and handling classes, but great to talk to Sarah !
becki*
p.s just got home in time to watch BIS would of loved Rodney and Mel to get it( nik might of got today off work ) but my dad picked the Australian Sheep dog ::)
-
Well I hardly saw anyone  I saw Michele...by chance...and I saw Andrew (Jane's OH) and also JaneES with Oliver and Charlie, just managed to do a bit of videoing for her. I saw Sue's husband from a distance but never got round that way. I actually didn't stay long because of the weather. I was staying with my Sister in Manchester and they had quite alot of snow so decided to head back early fopr fear of it getting any worse.
Next year I'm going by myself, without OH >:D
-
What an exciting crufts it was! Well done everyone!
Soooo very pleased that Harvey's daddy (Jasper) :luv: went out on a high - massive well done 2 him!!!
I was ever so proud of Becki, after walking Bridget I left her in becki's hands to take Dixie in and I was ever so proud watching from the nxt ring, and of course ever so proud in the handling final!!!
Have to say I was cheering for Melanie and Rodney back at home - what a dog and what an achievement (all ever so happy at work this morning) I know very well how much their dogs mean to them and totally deserve their success! As for Harvey, he never really lets me down - I’ll always be proud! The judge had already given him a 1st last time she judged I was just pleased that she still liked him.
It was very nice to see everyone again!
Nik x
-
Congratulations to you all!
It was my first time as a spectator at crufts and we had a fabulous time. So many beautiful cockers I couldn't have picked a winner they were all so stunning.
We will definatley be back next year.

Congratulations to everyone.
I got back late last night and had a great weekend. I dragged Mum round a lot of the bench numbers but no one was there! I think she thought I was making COL up!! I did catch Jem's breeder and groomer though.
Parked ourselves at the bitch ring for most of the afternoon and cheered on Jem's Mum who got second in the limit class. Loved BIS the atmosphere was fantastic.
Had a great time and managed to spend a ridiculous amount of money!
-

Edited to add...hope it is ok to post this (as the photographer's OH is also a member of the forum) just thought it would be nice for those who couldn't attend, and the fact there are a quite a number of COL dogs on there - hope it’s all ok (if not, mod's I’m sure you'll remove it ;) )

Great link, Nikki, thank you :)
I was interested to see colour of the placed dogs - one or two B & W, but mainly Blue Roan, Solid Black and Red/Gold (I can never tell the difference ph34r)........does it vary from year to year, or do the same colours usually dominate?

It's inevitable that the colours which are numerically more popular will appear to dominate at any show (not just Crufts) purely because there are so many more of them than the minority colours. That's not to say that other colours don't win - we've won several classes at Crufts with our orange/white girl & it wasn't that long ago that an orange/white bitch won the Gundog Group at Crufts (Lynwater Dawn Shimmer).

Harry is Misty's Grandad on her Mum's side - Mum being Zaffre Zeisha at Harbethol, Dad is Shenmore Star Voyager. I took a photo of Misty at 6months old with her Mum, brother and Grandad - unfortunately it was indoors at a show and came out really badly. Misty has a few relatives on COL from her Dad's side but I think Clive is the first on her Mum's side. :shades:
Congratulations Emily and Kim - sounds like you had quite a day.
Where are all the COLers Crufts photos or were you all too busy showing and shopping ?

Edited to add...hope it is ok to post this (as the photographer's OH is also a member of the forum) just thought it would be nice for those who couldn't attend, and the fact there are a quite a number of COL dogs on there - hope it’s all ok (if not, mod's I’m sure you'll remove it ;) )

I did see a couple of nice B&W's one getting placed in the Puppy Bitch class, not sure who it was though ::) saw a couple of Livers in Veteran Dog and Sheila got a 3rd with her Liver "Latte" daughter of JaneES's Charlie. It's funny I've got 2 minority colours but I'd still rather have a nice Blue ;)

Thanks for them nikki

Congratulations to all the COL's, :D I didn't find many of you but I did wonder up and down the rows with my numbers list but I did manage to meet up with Kelly, Daftcockers and Topaz Billy. It was great to see all dogs again. :D Met up with Alfie's breeder again and she got the Bitch CC with Alfie's half sister.. (Foxy Lady) which was exciting to watch. For the first time ever we watched the gundog group and was cheering on Copper Glow, glad they were placed and the best in show All very exciting. Sorry it's over for another year. :'(

Ooh! Buddy's groomer won best undergrad dog. One of Janes I think?
Siani's brother. Not bad going getting two successful dogs from the one litter.
Lewis is indeed Siani's brother and suffice to say we were absolutely thrilled to bits to win 1st in undergrad dog, I'm so grateful to Jane and Andrew for breeding him and to my husband who gave him to me as my 50th birthday present.
