Title: Changing Pet insurance

We have just recieved our renewal for M&S pet insurance and are horrified to see that the excess has gone up to £70, so we have decided that we are going to change.
Has anyone got any good companies that they can recommend to us?

Do a search on the forum for 'Insurance' , as there have been several posts about this fairly recently.

Get an online quote here from Healthy Pets. They do three levels of cover, so check the options carefully. If you are used to M & S though I would only chose the Gold Option  ;) . I have been with them for a couple of years with no problems.

Im with Direct Line for all the small pets. Ive made quite a few claims over the years for the cats and never had a problem with them paying out. I think there excess is £50 but couldnt be sure. They do a higher level of cover where they will continue to pay for an existing condition year after year.

I went from M&S to the Healthy Pets Gold cover for Tilly and Rodaidh as well. Alfie has to stay with M&S because he's had a lot of treatment this year and it may be a recurring condition.

Were with M&S too, we can't change over either, Nell is on treatment for life.

I JUST TYPED IN "COMPARE PET INSURANCE" ON SEARCH ENGINE AND HALIFAX WAS THE BEST QUOTE FOR ME

We are with M&S too and have just had two massive price hikes... Our 6-year old lurcher went from about £14 to £25, and our 8-year old pyrenees went from £29 to £54...  >:D

But unfortunately all our dogs have had claims, so we have to stick with them. I must admit though, it would be difficult to get anything cheaper for our pyrenees anyway and they have never caused any problems with the claims we have had.

im with halifax, ive claimed once for a lump removal from ellies head, and i had no problems with them paying out, and the excess is £50  :shades:

My two have both have treatment for various minor (and in the most recent case, major) problems, and even though I haven't claimed for all of them, I know I'll still have to declare each one and will have exclusions imposed on a policy from any other company  :-\
