Title: Poor Dallas
Post by: *Jay* on September 21, 2004, 02:43:58 PM
Dallas had his dew claw removed this morning and is now feeling very sorry for himself. Hes not quite got to grip with his bandaged paw yet and just looks at it in bewilderment   I'm sure once he gets his chicken tonight, he will cheer up ;)

aawww, just look at his little face  :(

Hope he feel more comfortable soon and that it's not too rainy for the next few days. It wont do his street cred any good having to go for walks with a plastic bag taped to his foot (unless you can find him a designer one!!) :)

..........awww poor baby... ;)
I didn't know  about having them removed, no one has told me about it, just to watch out for it and trim it when necessary.  Is it normal procedure   ?

Hi, my Cassy had ripped a claw last week and had to have it removed followed by a plaster so she knows how Dallas feels. Also its a nightmare trying to stop them from chewing it off. I had to put a sock over her plaster in the end. Id spent a fortune on tape!!! Get well soon Dallas.....

Get well soon Dallas, at least you don't have to wear one of those silly Elizabethan collars, they can really ruin a boy's street cred :D !

Oi, I picked that colour ;)   He has a purple check collar and lead and I wanted him to be co-ordinated B)  Could have been much worse - they were going to put on a pink one to wind me up :o

Hes feeling a little bit better this morning - discovered yesterday that his pain threshold is practically non-existent  Told me where I could stick my chicken last night - bet hes regretting that this morning   The bandage can come off tomorrow and depending on how it looks, he may not need another one on.

I agree with Penny though - he'll be plotting his revenge as I type

Bless him - Bramble had to have a cyst off his paw when he was quite little, and they DO know how to wring every last bit of sympathy don't they??  Bam also had to have an 'Elizabethan' colar on which made him even more miserable!!

I notice with some smugness that Dallas was in fact photographed on a human's bed .....  Bramble rather likes going UNDER our bed still (until lights out and then he scrabbles out and snuggles down!)  Barley couldn't care less and just pits in until we turf her off !

Hope that little paw is better soon!
