Something I've wondered for a while...what do the 3A, 1A mean? I often see "puppy group 3" etc...

The A stand for absent so those dogs didn't compete

Think it's 3 absent. 10 3A would be 10 entered, 3 absent (I think).

The papers would usually write 10/3 meaning the same

If it says Puppy Group 3 or PG3 (or BIS3, G3 etc) it means they were 3rd in the puppy group (or 3rd best in show, or 3rd in adult group)
