Weed killer
« on: April 09, 2014, 02:22:19 PM »
Is it safe to put weed killer on your block paving if your dogs walk on it and can anyone recommend some that are dog friendly.

Thanks.

I use Roundup and simply make sure that the dogs don't walk on the sprayed area until it's dry.

Same here  ;) I think what ever you use it must be dry before they can walk on it  ;) x x x

I use the old fashioned method of boiling water. Kills weeds between slabs etc. Yes.....it really does work!

Roundup here as well, it's the only one they're now allowed to use at Caravan Club sites so must be ok. Just make sure it's dry before dogs go on it. :D

Another roundup but having said that: I bought a wire brush specially for weeds between between bricks and flags, works a treat.

25% vinegar mixed with 75% boiling water.

Environmentally friendly as rainfall helps the soil revert to its normal pH after a month or so. (Or two days in the Scottish monsoon season  ;))
