More Than - waiting for payment since February?
« on: May 03, 2015, 10:33:50 PM »
I've never claimed before but put in a claim in Feb for Ruby and haven't heard anything. I've phoned a few times and each time have been told "it's all going through okay, expect payment soon". Does it normally take that long?

Shouldn't do - I did a large claim for my 1st claim with Lady and they paid up pretty quickly

That's interesting Penny. I'll phone them again. I paid all the bills at the time of seeing the vet then put my claim together with the vet sending it off. They say they've received it but I've not been reimbursed.

Alfie is with John Lewis. He had surgery to remove a histiocytoma in late March. I got a cheque through from them 2 weeks ago. I always put in the claim for the vet to send away. Did you phone your vet to chase it up or More Than? It might be worth finding out finding out when your vet sent the claim away. I've never waited more than a few weeks for a claim to be settled both for Alfie and my previous cocker.

Yes, it sounds like an excessive delay.
Beau is with Argos and for his 3 claims I have received the cheque within 10 days each time.

Thanks all much appreciated. I phoned more than today and they said it was being referred to another department. Why didn't tell me that I don't know but it's sounding more doubtful that they're going to process the claim something about her history but wouldn't say. She's not been to the vets for anything other than Spey and 1yr vaccs. . Ruby is just finishing one course of treatment bur she is not better so we will have to decide what to do whether to continue with the vets treatment or go to specialist but I just wanted to know where we stood with insurance before we got to that point.

Mine was done via vet as I just pay excess so I didn't have to deal with them
