Showing At A Champ Show
« on: July 16, 2005, 05:58:14 PM »
Hi everyone

We are going to do a champ show in the near future (1st one ever), I have a question and wonder if someone can advise me, as it's our first show I have entered into a couple of categories, we can not decide at the moment if I or my husband should show our boy is there anything to stop me doing one category and my husband doing the other?  someone who I spoke to recently thought that it must be the same handler handling in all categories at champ show.

Can anyone enlighten me

Well...
not nesecerally, at a champ show my mum has taken a dog into one class and I have taken the dog into another, you just need to tell the steward that the dog has been into another class not handeled by you. So as long as the steward is informed that the dog was in another class not handeled by you then you should be ok! :D  I'm not sure if anyone else has any other thoughts.

Edited to add: in some classes the description says that the dog can only be handled by the owner. Just read the descriptions of the classes which are listed in the schedule.
