DOGGY INSURANCE

 :huh:  HELP NEEDED!!!

Suggestions gladly received regarding who offer the best deals on  fully comprehensive dog insurance.

Where do we begin?

In my opinion PET PLAN. Around £18 per month but completely covered for life. Used it with last dog and wouldnt be without it now. Watch out for TESCO/ARGOS/SAINSBURY ETC who are cheap but only insure for 12 months post diagnosis- not much use really if its a diagnosis of diabetes for life!

We use Pet Protect for ours.  We had to claim when Charlie had a lump removed, they were excellent and paid the vet direct, the cover is for life.

Hi

we've just signed up with Marks and Spencers, which seemed to be recommended by quite a few on COL, also if you pay a little bit extra there is no excess!

Hi, take a look in the polls section, there is a very interesting discussion on there - M&S does seem the most well received.

It will give a basic comparison of many big insurers prices. Just make sure to read the small print, as said, some cheap ones have exclusions, large excesses and only cover upto a small value. Take into consideration cost of excess as it is possible to pay a little more and have no excess.

It's M&S for us - we pay approx £10 per month and that's with no excess  :D

M&S ( no excess) for us as well - we were with Tesco but they didn't offer 'no excess' so checked around &  M&S seemed by far the best option.

Just make sure you get lifetime cover, and not 12 month cover as it'll only pay out for 12 months. ;)

Yep M&S by far the best.  Direct Debit, £10 per month, no excess and continuous cover.  ;)
