Might have a new addition soon

Nothing has been decided yet but the gang may have a new playmate in the form of an 11 1/2 year old blue roan cocker. His owner has decided that she wants to give him up as he is too tying for her  :'(  We did give her information on dog walkers etc but she didn't seem too keen and I think money is going to be a factor. Obviously it would be nice for him to stay in familiar surroundings in his twilight years but, on the other hand, I am very excited at the prospect of finally getting the oldie that I have been longing for  ;)

Blimey Gill - what a handful ;)

I know it all sounds lovely - but can I just add something to the mix? Jersey is still very young, with Disney and Aspen also still young dogs and then the other two 4 year olds, they are fairly well settled in terms of their pecking order (I know they have their grumbles) - might bringing an oldie into this mix upset things somewhat? Not criticising at all - simply asking the question ;)

Don't worry Pammy, the same thoughts have gone through my head  ;)  Vegas has already met him a few times and tolerated him very well as he wasn't being pestered but Dallas would be my only concern as we all know what happened the last time I brought an entire adult male into the home  :embarassed:  If I do take this boy on, it will only be if any careful neutral introductions between the two went okay. Don't fret - the head will rule the heart on this one  ;)

Thats a lovely thing to do Gill.  :D  Sometimes people just seem discard dogs when they get older.  >:(

goD only knows how you cope with 5 let alone 6.  :o Training 3 takes ages so I don't know how you have any time to even turn your pc on!  :005:

I hope the introductions go well and they all go on to live in harmony. How anyone can cope with more than 3 is a mystery to me - though I did once say that about 2 I seem to remember.  ph34r

yup I said that about 2 - something about only having two hands..... hmm then I said it about 3, and then 4.... now - 5 that really is enough for me - Gracie is about equal to 3 normal dogs anyhow  :lol:

I hope this old guy does come and live with you Gill - I'd love an oldie lurcher  ph34r but don't tell OH....
