I see absolutely no reason not to take her to ringcraft where you and your daughter can learn with Rose about showing cockers, and entering some companion shows. As Jane said, she will need some more coat, and if you have shown Weims then you are familiar with breed standards, so you can read the cocker standard and decide for yourself.

In the meantime you and your daughter will gain valuable ring experience, meet new doggie people and have lots of fun with your dog, so why not?  :D

She is lovely, a really stunning colour  :shades: :luv:

I do think looking at her though that she does have quite a lot of working cocker blood in her, her head, ears and coat are all very worker-ish.

I agree, I don't see any reason not to go to ringcraft either.
I take Jade and Amber along even though they are not suitable for showing, Jade is too big and Amber is just 'not right'. (although I am going to have a go with Jade at some of the smaller open shows as she is sooo beautiful, just needs a bit more coat back after her first season)
You can meet some lovely people there (I have) and just have fun.  ;)

Thank you all for your lovely replies.

We are going to try out Ringcraft with her and also have got her a place on a Saturday along with our Collie to start working trials training :-)

So looks like she has some fun ahead.....

Bye for now

I dont show Storm, but took her into the pedigree classes at some companion shows when she was a pup.  It was a lot of fun, and really good experience.  Hope you have fun at ringcraft  .

Good Luck with the working trials training.  Storm's just started training for working trials too  .  Storm loves it, especially the nosework  :005:
