"Difficult lady at companion show
« on: September 01, 2007, 08:13:24 PM »
I've loved the companion shows we have been to until today. :'(

An older lady with a pug was quite vile to me and Dyllan.
OK he barked at her pug as he sometimes does with other dogs but she said cockers were dreadful and always had it in for her dog she wished they were banned >:D
Later she said the same thing to a Rottie owner (he was a PAT dog too in his tabard) his owner told her to ***** ***!

I know I shouldn't of let it but it really bothered me an spoilt the rest of the show. Tyke did get a first though :luv:
I'm off to another tommorrow- I hope she is not there.

So sorry to hear that - there is always one person who has it in for other people.  >:(

Congratulations to Tyke on his first and good luck for tomorrow.  :D

Well done on your 1st place. There will always be rude people, take it with a pinch of salt, you ALWAYS take the best dog home  :shades:

I don't think dogs bark at other dogs for no good reason, Dyllan was probably picking up on her bad vibes and telling the pug how sorry he felt for him. ;)
Sounds like sour grapes to me, think the Rottie owner had the right idea.  :shades:
Well done on getting a 1st, and good luck tomorrow. Is she is there and she confronts you again, why not have something ready like "we had a great day yesterday, I was so pleased with my first, I wonder how we'll do today" Then you can stick your tongue out at her.  :005:

Hi Sarah,  :D

You sometimes find that people like this are trying to intimidate you in the ring
so you then make a mistake and allow their dog to win - so don't fall for that one!  ;)

Just ignore unpleasant people like this and concentrate on having fun with your dog.
Sounds like she might have thought you were her main competition!  :005:
It didn't do her any good anyway!  ;)

Well done on your 1st with Tyke!  :D

Hopefully see you on Sunday!  :shades:

Best wishes,
Heather & Geoffrey.  :luv:

Yep she did!
She had her brown socks pulled up to her knees and grey cut of trousers on too. She carried her handbag around with her which was bigger than her pug and set it down in line with the dogs. She must have also been chewing a wasp :005:

Sorry all pug owners out there I had nothing against her dog (each to their own :luv:)

Hi Sarah,  :D

Oh that's so funny! (Some people eh?  ::)
She'd better not turn up at my show on Sunday!   :005:

Hopefully you got the schedule OK?
Look forward to seeing you and your Cockers!  :D

Best wishes,
Heather & Geoffrey.  :luv:

I think I reconize the description of the vile lady with the pug,  :005:
I would just develop broad shoulders and ignore this kind of behaviour, see you at the open show at the Norfolk showground, I missed speaking to you at Stonham Barns
