Hi Jane

Sounds like Andrew and Ruby had a tiring but thoroughly enjoyable day.

Glad to hear that everyone else had a good time too - you lucky things.

Yes, Los Ombues VIP is our new pups dad.  I had noticed that Andrew was the judge on one of her wins. I can't wait till tomorrow, to see the little fellow.  Can't sleep, can't eat - excited and nervous at the same time.  Will be looking for lots of advice  :?  :D

Well done everyone :D  We were there but were drawn to the bright lights and shopping  So only said a brief Hello to some of the COL gang

We loved the discover dogs sections and now have a list of 30 dogs for pet number 3

We really feel that you have to have a couple of day there as so much to see and do, so next year we are going to take the caravan to Cannock chase and spend the weekend.

Edited to say it took us from 5.30 untill 8.00 to get home    a journey that would normally take an hour and a half??

It was fantastic to meet everyone I hadn't met before, and catch up with those I have - and I was very lucky to be ringside to see Andrew, Kim and Tracey do so well :D Many thanks again to Michele for playing host - even though Otis didnt place, he still managed to charm everyone he met   I got home at 9.30pm... long day, but so worth it. Daisy looks rather fetching in her blue tartan snood (Jazz thinks its hilarious and is glad she didnt get one!)

a big WELL DONE to all who were showing.
Glad we made it to meet everyone in time. It was good to put faces to names as well, and nice to meet Loraine and Mary again. I wanted to get a grooming table too but couldn't believe the prices   So passed on that one, and got a new crate for the car instead.
Sorry I snuck off too but I'm like a kid in sweet shop  We didn't see enough of the classes but had sooooo much shopping to do  I dragged my sister everywhere and back again in case I'd missed something. We also saw some of the agility classes which are great fun and nice to sit down for a bit! and the Discover dogs was interesting, my sister fell in love with two Blood hounds and wanted to take them home  She ended up with a big St Bernard cuddly toy which we won on one of the stalls    We did get some strange looks from passers by in the car on the way home
Hope you all had good journey's home. Have pencilled in the date for next year already. (March 10th - 13th 2005)
Alfie, and Jay J. together over the Rainbow Bridge. Always in our hearts but dreadfully missed.

Our first time at cockers, and despite some problems getting there due to traffic and accidents on M42 enjoyed our day.  It was great to meet some of you sorry we didn't hang around long, think the security guard outside chum stand was getting fed up....

Managed to see some of the cockers, though its difficult to get close to the rings side.  All those dogs and so well behaved.

Now I've seen a few well groomed cockers, Tali will be attacked with vengeance, so he looks like a cocker and not an old english sheepdog...  to help bought a grooming table, put it next to the sofa so he can get used to it being around and doesn't just associate it with being cut, he can't keep of it. thinks its great.  Have to say I know it wasn't cheap but it has made so much difference, hes much easier to get to and its a lot easier on the back as well.

Also ended up with about 4 bags of dog food and lots of frolic samples, which he loves. Credit card is creaking a little though....

Congratulations to all those showing. Talis kennel name is Sandvika Taliska, lots of Sandvikas in the fields group and rather well they did as well.  That’s def the closest Tali will get to crufts...

It was great to meet so many of you. Gilly remained elusive for most of the day but I caught her in the end
Otis 8)  was certainly not himself for most of the day, and talking to Tracey she said one of hers was upset by the noise and hubbub too. Its quite worrying when your usual guzzle guts refuses a sausage   Thanks to all of you who showed him such concern. I am happy to say he is now completely back to normal and loves his new saxaphone soft toy
I got home about 8.20pm and by the time I got finished last night I was totally cream crackered, so much so that although I got up this morning to let the dogs out and give them breakfast, I went back to bed and didn't wake up again until 11.45am  Thanks to darling hubbie for lie in xx :D

Well done to Andrew with Ruby, Kim, Tracey and anyone else who did well  :D

What we must remember is, that in a numerically large breed, such as ours, to qualify for Crufts is a major achievement, to be placed at Crufts is just the icing.
Congrats to all those who qualified & whatever the result, I hope you enjoyed your day.
I was knackered, to say the least & got chucked out with my Champion    so as I say it's the getting there, that counts.
Crufts is different to any other Ch.Show.
To those that didn't manage to qualify, just keep trying.

Bit late in the day from me I'm afraid    I just got back from Manchester at 9.00pm tonight

A big congrats to all, I had a great day..meeting Dessie, Tracey, Kim, Michele (even though we kept missing each other   ), Mike, Lou, Anita, Kelly, Charlie Spuds mum, Mike , Mary and Loraine (if I've forgotton anyone I'm sorry   ) There was too much shopping and watching to do so I found it very hard to socialise....but I got kisses off Betty, Ruby and Otis..so that was enough for me  :D
