« on: April 23, 2008, 03:23:34 PM »
not sure if I am posting this in the correct place so MODS please feel free to move.

A friend is rescuing  a dog who has a life long condition.

Does any body know of a pet insurance that will cover pre existing conditions?

any help or advise that I can pass on would be great

Thanks x

I would imagine but stand to be corrected that no insurance company will cover an existing condition. I could be wrong though

I don't know if any of them do (I don't think they do or at least not without absolutely skinning you alive with the premiums) but has your friend spoken to the rescue in question? In most cases where a dog is rehomed from a rescue with a diagnosed, ongoing medical condition the rescue agree to pay for, or at least contribute towards, the costs of its treatment for the rest of its life.
