expo in england
« on: April 11, 2004, 02:38:16 PM »
hi! i'm an italian cocker's lover.

i would like to know how is the way as in england the dog expo are take place.

in italy we use to assign to the dog a document called CAC in order to become a beauty champion , only to the cockers that won even a hunting test.

in england is it enough to have won only a beauty test?

thanks for your reply

Hello Maria

In the UK, if a Cocker wins 3 CCs, he/she becomes a Show Champion - a hunting qualification is not needed for this title. If a Show Champion Cocker does win a Working Certificate (hunting), then he/she becomes a full Champion.

the titles are:

Sh Ch - Show Champion ( has won 3 CC's)

Ch - Champion ( has to have won the above and its SGWC)

SGWC - Stands for Show Gundog Working Certificate - Said dog must have won a 1st at a championship show to be able to run and i think future word is that only dogs which have been awarded CC or RCC will be able to run, but i'm sure Jane will be able to clarify this
Tori & Co x
aka the luscious Laney, Jessica ferret, Scrum bum Otis (pictured)and Sasha the basha welshie - sadly Sasha was set free to run at the bridge 13/01/11 to prevent further suffering.... Until we meet again sweet angel xx
