Disappearing Posts!?
« on: August 25, 2004, 03:51:11 PM »
Hi,
I am having trouble reading some of the posts - they disappear off screen before i can read them.
It doesn't happen to all of them - but i can see what is written for about a nano second then its gone.
It's only the writing that goes not anything else - i can see who has posted it and also the signatures at the bottom but nothing that has been typed in.  Also some of the replies are blank - sometimes 2 or 3 of them.
Again i can see everything else but not the replies.
If i go back and try to read again its still blank.....
Am now wondering if i will be able to read any replies that may be posted!!!!!!
Anyone else having same problems or is it just me??

Same thing also happens when trying to look at pictures  in gallery - they disappear after a second!!
So frustrating as i can't work out why this happens...

I can't explain this, nor can I re-create the fault. Have tried using various browsers etc.
Does everyone who has the error have up to date video card drivers etc?

Hi,
Have just worked out that if i disable my 'pop up stoppers' and ' adsgone'  i can read all posts and view pictures - problem now is that i am inundated with ads and pop ups which interfere with my trying to look at anything!!!
I can set these to 'allow' certain ads but can't find which one is stopping the posts and pics.
Any ideas??
Have to say i am totally addicted to this site and although not registered yet find myself on it 4-5 times a day!!!
Its nice to know my 2 are the same as everyone elses!!!  Totally barmy but couldn't be without them!!

If you close your browser and come back again, does it exhibit the same probem?
I've checked with the developers of this forum software, it doesn't appear to be a bug in the system.

I use the Google toolbar which has a built in pop-up stopper. This doesn't interfere with sites like Cockers Online & only tends to block the pop-ups you really don't want. Perhaps you should try it?

Hi,
The problem seems to be with only the 2 new pop up stoppers and ads stops i've put on - i have a stopper on my toolbar but it still lets quite a few in, enough to drive me nuts clicking them off every few secs while trying to read!!
Think i will have to go through each ad stop one by one until i find the problem - oh joy!!
