"not for Competition"
« on: April 14, 2009, 07:48:07 AM »
Hi just a quickie.

I know I can't show Alfie until he's 6 months but can I enter him as 'not for competition' and take him along. I want to socialise him and get him used to it.

I haven't totally decided whether I want to show him yet but went to a little local open show yesterday and could feel the bug biting!

x

Most shows allow NFC entries for dogs 4 months or over.  Usually it's listed in the schedule or on the entry form whether NFC can be accepted (and what charge there is if any); if it isnt mentioned anywhere perhaps ring the secretary to find out.

Visiting dogs may be put into a visitors book on the day at the societies discression, but I've not heard of this being done at many shows.

Thanks Sportsmonki, I'll ring the secretaries as the only age limit I can find is for competitors. I've just plucked up the courage to ring a ringcraft club ran by someone call Major ### so I'm brave enough to ring anyone now.
