would henry do any good in a showing class?
« on: October 02, 2009, 11:25:20 AM »
dear showing experts!
a lot of people say to me oooh henry's lovely you should show him, these are not people who are in the showing world. Having read the breed standards, would he be acceptable as he is black with a bit of white on his chest (which i think is allowed) but he also has a few grey/white hairs on his chin. would this mean he doesnt meet the breed standard? i've not had him neutered, and his coat is hand stripped so ok on both those counts. think we lack a little discipline required for the show ring but that could be worked on! does his goatee affect his chances?! they are very hard to see on a photo so i havent got one to show you
thanks  :D

A little white on the chest is allowed. Why don't you go to some ringcraft classes and then maybe someone could give you some advise and tell you if he is good enough to show or if you are still in touch with the breeder and they show you could ask there opinion.

Sorry but his goatee would have to go  :005:
