Do you mind me asking what is so special about this book?  I was just looking on ebay and noticed it's up to £46 with 3 hours left to go :o

its the keen Cocker show persons/breeders bible. All the top dogs (of the time it was publiushed in the 90's) and their ancestry's in there with excellent pictures stuff on breeding, grooming, show standard the lot. Even now - I get mine out every now and then just to look at the gorgeous cockers and info at contains.

It's no longer printed and although copies do come up - it's not very often so they can fetch a good price, although often if a cocker lover no longer needs theirs - they'll sell to a like minded aquantance for cover price £25.

I just saw that the book went for £60.  But I am sure I have seen a much higher price for this book before (long time ago).  
Was £25 the price that the book was sold for in UK, when it was stil for sale in shops?   If so, the Norwegian shop where I got mine from earned a lot on them, since they sold it for £40, 10 years ago when I bought mine <_<

Yes It did go for about £60 I was watching with curiosty  ;)  I saw Susan bidding and was willing her to get it  ;)  never mind I'll bring mine to the next SKC Susan then at least you can say you touched a copy of the golden book  :lol:

Of course I am ever indebted to Pammy for letting me have a copy of hers  :D
