I opted for Argos myself. Went with a good level of cover and definitely Lifetime. I haven't had to claim but I did read the small print and it was much the same as everyone else. I don't see how Petplan can justify such big premiums in comparison.

As somebody else mentioned; payment direct to the vet will be more at the vet's discretion than the insurer. It'll make so little difference to the insurance company, but the vet may be delayed by weeks if accepting pay,ment direct. I know this because my physiotherapist won't accept direct payments any more because the private health insurers were trying to negotiate the bill and delaying payment by up to 2 months.
