Hi
I have both my dogs insured with More Than and couldnt fault them my older dog is now 12 and we have had to put in a couple of claims which they paid out with no problem one to remove a fatty lump the most recent one on October last year when he was hit in the side by a pryenean mountain dog which resulted in the loss of use of his back legs (he now has the use back but walks funny) the cost of the last claim was over £3,500 More Than sought recovery from the owner of the pryenean insurers and refunded my excess back without me having to do anything.
From experience I would say that if you have done everything reasonable to prevent your dog escaping they would not legally be able to turn a claim down, however if say your dog regularly digs a hole under the fence and escapes then they may be able to refut the claim.
