insurance renewal

I am with healthy pets and as many people are finding the renewal has doubled for this year. im going to change insurance, but my question is do healthy pets renew automatically or can i ignore the renewal letter and just start a fresh with a different insurance company?

I have just moved from Healthy Pets as the insurance costs have quadrupled in two years. I did have to cancel in writing. I rang them first to check. They accepted an email. Just make sure that you include the policy number, start and finish dates, all your and your pets details and ask them to confirm receipt.
