Condition not noted on policy - what should I do?
« on: January 03, 2011, 11:36:41 AM »
I have just noticed that one of Jeff's incidents from last year (his dislocated hip) is not mentioned on the new insurance policy (kebab stick removal is) - we had quite a large claim for this paid by them so they should know about it! Should I call the insurance firm and let them know or just leave it as is?

The plot thickens - I have just noticed a claim for "lameness" for Marble (cat) of £171 (unless I'm losing my marbles she hasn't been lame) - I think this might be Jeff's hip??

If it were me I would let them know just in case there's a further problem with Jeff's hip and they use the fact that it's not mentioned to say you can't claim, even though it must be somewhere in their records.

I would clarify it with them as well.  I know with Pet Plan that we had to pay the full rate for each condition annually after which it was the excess plus a fifth of the bill. If you had to claim for anything connected with  the hip condition within a year of previous treatment you would have to pay the full rate again unless it was listed as a pre existing condition.
