It would be a good idea to do a road show, go round most off the other clubs, with the cost off travelling these days.

Bit too far fo me, pity as it sounds really interesting.

Perhaps one of the Scottish clubs may run something similar.

Yip, that would be good. I was at a trimming seminar run by Wilma Reid (Shanaz) a while back and that was brill.

Are any Col members exhibiting or just going to watch at the Scottish Cocker Spaniel Club Open Show on Sunday? I hope to be there with my daughter.

You need to get your nearest regional Club to organise a seminar Louise ;) West of England did a very successful one not that long ago so no reason why other clubs can't do the same, if enough people asked for one ;)

I picked up a leaflet at a champ.show,from the United Spaniel,i think they are doing the same seminar,but i didnt bother to read it as i had booked to go to this one,might be worth your while finding out about that one.

Will have to get onto the sec, off East Ang cocker, Homecounties, or London cocker to run a seminar, or even East Ang Gundog

9am Reception & Coffee

9.30am-10.45: Raising a Litter (Jackie Marris-Bray)

11.am-12.30pm: Breeding The Best (Discussion session with a panel of top breeders)

Lunch

2pm: From 8 weeks to the Show Ring "Getting the best from your Show Dog" (Michael Parkinson)

4pm Tea

Its not that far my wife and I come from that neck of the woods about an hours drive at the most :D it would be further for us to come down from Burton On Trent....

Its nearly 2 hours for us accordly to AA route finder which is to much travelling time when I have dogs at home to be cared for..too long on there own  :'(

My wife comes from Wick and i am from Somerset..We have a cottage in Keysham and we can do that run in just over an hour and a hafe(125 miles)....Are you near to Swindon!!!..And you can take your dogs by the way!!!

P.S the A.A .R/P said that it is fours hours for us from Keynsham to Burton!!!! ;)

No Swindon is 1.5 hrs from us, its a lovely throught taking the dogs but 5 merry cockers would empty the building  :005: :005:
