Don't do bedtime biccies as a rule, but do lunchtime ones after lunchtime walk and they get a couple of gravy bones. :D

always give a bed time biccie as we had a few incidences of throwing up bile in the morning if he didn't have something last thing at night - and the choice in the house is a good old Gravy Bone, original flavour as he turns his head away from the chicken flavoured one  ph34r

If you want your dog to sleep at night you shouldnt feed them anything before bed time biccies can make them hyperactive.

... the bedtime biccies being suggested here aren't jammie dodgers!

I just chuck a few bits of kibble in Juno's crate and she's happy with that.  She also tends to throw up bile if she doesn't have a little to eat before bedtime.

Luckily Maggie will eat anything... which is handy as I'm out of gravy bones right now and she needs something before she goes to bed, otherwise like Jarv she is prone to bring up bile in the morning.

I tried Jarvis with a greenie once (if that's what you mean) and never again - he threw it up within half an hour and the pieces that he threw up were swollen up to 4 times the size that they were when he swallowed them.   There are also documented cases of dogs choking on greenies and dying so never ever feed them without full supervision and always provide water.  They're not something I would give at bed time  :-\

Giving an appropriate dog biscuit at night is not going to make a dog 'hyperactive'. I don't generally feed Pedigree-type treats but like Jarvis my lot have been getting a pre-bed Gravy Bone every night since I've had them.

All my boys have a biccie at bedtime. Chester has a milky bone (coz they are low fat), Murph has a JWB Crackerjack Turkey and Rice, and Indy has a JWB Crackerjack too but he has the white fish and rice one. They don't settle until they have them. :luv:

Dylan and Daisy both have a JWB Crackerjack at bedtime - I think they'd protest all night if I failed to give them a treat at bedtime!  :005:
