Today my groomer came to the house for a visit. She brought her partner round too and Lylas behaviour was quite odd so I wondered if anyone could shed any light on it. Both girls did their spinning, racing, barking 'somebody is here' ritual which stopped quickly ...... as it always does! Then Lyla sat at his feet and barked. He petted her which she was happy (and quiet) with but then she would walk away and bark and then go straight back to him and sit and wait to be petted. She did this so many times we had to put her in crate in the car. Lyla is not comfortable with strangers until they let her say hello on her own terms and usually she won't let them pet her until she has investigated them thoroughly. The fact that she barked at him is normal but sitting at his feet to be petted isn't....
. I just wondered if there was something I was missing?
He is a lovely, quiet, shy guy by the way....who loves animals!
