Andis Racd Clippers
« on: October 20, 2013, 06:11:41 PM »
Hi guys, has anyone used these clippers before? http://www.ebay.ie/itm/NEW-ANDIS-DOG-CLIPPERS-WITH-2-BLADES-6-COMB-GUARDS-/261167003188?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Dogs&hash=item3ccec43634

Would they be powerful enough for Pippa's coat, or should I go for the Andis 2 speed? She is parti coloured, and her fur isn't all that thick. She doesn't exactly enjoy being groomed though, so something fast and quiet is what I am after, but funds are pretty tight at the moment, so I need something relatively easy on the bank balance!  ph34r

Go for the Andis two speed, they'll be the better buy long term.
Karen, Penny, Logan, Phoebe and Bronte.

I'd go for the Andis AGC Super speed clipper. Exactly the same as the Andis two speed but with a more powerful motor for just a couple of pounds extra.

We have both and the Super speed is just brilliant for ploughing through Milly's really dense coat but is just as quiet as the standard 2 speed while, at the lower speed, it's extremely quiet and great for any fiddley bits and around the head, ears etc.

The one you've posted is £76 plus £15 postage so you're over £90 already, an extra £40 would, in my opinion, be well worth it to get what's arguably one of the best cocker clippers out there.
