Clippering legs
« on: November 24, 2018, 10:11:41 AM »
Hi, our 2 year old cocker Bailey has the softest fur going which we have maintained by only having him scissor cut a hand stripped. I have in the last 2 weeks started to try and groom him myself with a fair amount to f success. However I have found his legs to be a little bit of a problem. What I want to know is, if I clipper his legs with a long guide (say a 12mm) would it affect the rest of his coat as I know clippers can change their coat and don’t want to do that. In other words will any change be restricted to his legs alone or would the change be throughout his fur. I still intend to strip his body fur a scissor cut where necessary. Many thanks in advance.

By the way Bailey is a cross worker/show so he has fairly short body hair and only slight feathering on the legs. He is more worker than show if that helps.
