Newbie from Scotland
« on: July 09, 2008, 12:16:33 PM »
Hi There just come by to say hello to you all.

I have a 3 year old Blue Roan Male Spaniel called Sox, mad as a hatter  >:D  :lol2: and completely round the bend, we live in the middle of nowhere in the countryside in a wee place called 'Enochdhu'.

Will post some pics of my wee monster when I get in this evening, look forward to chatting with you all.

Welcome to COL.

I am in Glasgow, no idea if that's anywhere near you!!

We have a Golden boy called Sam.
Dogs are natural optimists and believe if they stare hard enough and long enough, the icing on the cake could be theirs.

Hi Jensam

Glasgow is not too far from you about an hour and a half from Perth - Do you find that your boy is somewhat hyper!!!!

Welcome Sox! I am in South Lanarkshire and have a wee princess of a cocker who was definitely not blessed in the brains department!  :005: What she lacks in intelligence, she makes up for in cuteness though  :luv:

Hello Ailsa - What breed of Spaniel do you have, she so looks like my boy, and yes I agree with you what they lack for in brains they make up in cuteness, mind you thou he is not thick but I think he plays up on the fact that 'hey if I act thick I can get away with anything' when he puts his mind and backside into gear he can be at times quite clever. But he is def the love of my life  :luv: and a loyal one at that  :D

Do you find that your boy is somewhat hyper!!!!

He was when we first got him, but he has calmed down alot now.  Probably due to his age and food.

I have tried to change his food but he has moments when he eats say Kibble, so I buy a big bag of it and then after a week or so refuses to eat it, so far I am giving him the Butchers tinned meat with ham & chicken which he wolfs down, touch wood he sticks to it!! Is it true that cockers are puppies till the age of 4? - As i I was told that after 4 he would start to calm down!!!
